  • The International Peace Bureau (IPB)

    IPB is dedicated to the vision of a World Without War. Since the IPB was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1910, 13 other IPB officers have been recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize.

    They have 265 member organisations in over 60 countries, and individual members, from a global network bringing together expertise and campaigning experience in a common cause. Their current main programme centres on Sustainable Disarmament for Sustainable Development.

  • International Network of Engineers and Scientists for Global Responsibility (INES)

    INES is an independent non-profit-organisation interested in the impact of science and technology on society.

    INES was founded 1991 in Berlin at the international congress ‘Challenges – Science and Peace in a rapidly changing environment’. Our efforts focus on disarmament and international peace, ethics in science, responsibilities of scientists and the responsible use of science and technology, justice and sustainable development. INES comprises of 100 organizations and individual members.

  • International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW)

    IPPNW is a non-partisan federation of national medical organizations in 60 countries, representing tens of thousands of doctors, medical students, other health workers, and concerned citizens who share the common goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world freed from the threat of nuclear annihilation.

    IPPNW received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985. In 2007 IPPNW launched the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), with the goal of persuading the nations of the world to negotiate and adopt an international treaty banning these omnicidal weapons from the face of the Earth.

  • The Mayors for Peace

    The Mayors for Peace facilitates coordination among cities that support the Program to Promote the Solidarity of Cities toward the Total Abolition of Nuclear Weapons.

    In 2003, the organization launched the 2020 Vision Campaign that seeks a nuclear-weapon-free world by the year 2020. During this ongoing campaign membership has increased from around 500 cities to over 2000, with new members joining literally every day.

  • Le Mouvement de la Paix

    Le Mouvement de la Paix was created in 1949 to oppose wars and nuclear weapons and to promote a kind of international relations based on justice, democracy and co-operation between peoples.

    Since then, Mouvement de la Paix has acted for disarmament, particularly nuclear disarmament, but also against the trade and transfer of weapons and the reduction of military expenditures. We promote a global conception of peacebuilding through the development of peace culture. We oppose wars, promote peaceful conflict resoltion and support peace forces acting in conflict zones.

  • Swiss Energy Foundation (Schweizerische Energie-Stiftung, SES)

    SES works for an ecological, equitable and sustainable energy policy.

    Its strategy — ‘2000 watt Society’ — promotes better energy efficiency and use of renewable energy resources other than fossile fuels or nuclear power. Based in Zurich, SES is entirely financed by private donations.
